A Farewell to Carbs

A 30-something navigating the world of Type 2 Diabetes while remaining fun, fashionable and fabulous.

About 10/23/2011

Hello. I’m a 30-something journalist and photographer navigating the often-mystifying world of Type 2 Diabetes. After being diagnosed with diabetes in 2008, I’m trying to undo more than a decade of unhealthy choices one step at a time. In addition to sharing my breakthroughs and struggles, I also will probably share a few of my favorite terrible knock-knock jokes and maybe a dating horror story or two. And yes, I take requests.

I am NOT a doctor, nutritionist, personal trainer or licensed healthcare professional. All content on this blog is my own opinion. I am under the care of a doctor and a nutritionist, and urge you to do the same if you have diabetes or if you just want to lose weight or get healthier.
